Trees Requiring Root-balls

Experience has proved that the root-balling of the following trees from 12cm girth and upwards  (unless otherwise stated) is a significant factor in their successful establishment after leaving the nursery.

This is especially the case in the last weeks of the lifting season in March.

Betula
Carpinus
Castanea
Corylus
Crataegus
Fagus
Gleditsia
Liquidamber
Pyrus
Quercus
Robinia

Double rather than single staking is necessary to avoid damaging the root-ball. All trees at 18-20cm girth and above should be root-balled except for the following at 18-20cm girth under specific circumstances.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss this option of receiving large bare-rooted trees.
