J. A. Jones grows a range of native and ornamental trees on 105 acres of Grade 1 soil in Southport, ranging in size from 6-8cm to

25-30cm girth, as well as multi-stemmed trees up to 5m tall. With our Grade 1 type soil, excellent fibrous root systems are naturally produced, which when combined with our strict growing regime, produces strong healthy trees ready for the most challenging of sites. We produce both field and container grown stock to ensure year round availability.

Single trunk trees (referred to as standard trees) are specified by girth and height of clear stem.

The girth (circumference) of the trunk is always measured 1metre from ground level in centimetres.

For trees 10-12cm and above, the clear stem height is 1.8-2m.

Trees 30cm+ girth and above can be specified with 2.2m or 2.5m clear stems.

Feathered trees are supplied with branches furnished to the ground.

Multi-stemmed trees are specified by height in metres and minimum number of stems.
